Dad, Husband, Texan, major airline pilot, Drupal evangelist. Navy fan, beer snob, collaborator. Drupalcamp Atlanta website team member.
Brent graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1997 with a BS in Computer Science (Software Engineering track) and proceeded to flight training in Pensacola, FL after commissioning. After 13 years active duty, including leading global surveillance missions abroad, Brent transitioned to Flight Instructing in the US Navy Reserves while flying for a US major airline. Brent discovered Drupal in the early 5.x days while searching for a way to keep friends and family updated with the Ratliffs online. After a couple of hobby projects with Drupal (and some trials with other solutions), Brent discovered that the answer to all things online was, "Yes, you can do that with Drupal." Currently, Brent is the principal of Laminarlogic, LLC where he builds sites for small businesses and consults on large corporate projects. Brent is also still active in the Navy Reserves and flying as an airline pilot.
