One-Hour Drupal 8 Theming

The focus of this session will be creating a custom Drupal 8 theme. It can be quick and easy and ultimately generate leaner code than using a sub-theme.

The high-level structure of this presentation will include the following:
1. Why Create a Custom Theme? Advantages over the more traditional sub-theme route.

2. D8 Theme Structure: What are the necessary components?

3. The yml.info file

4. Twig overview: Focus on syntax and structure.

5. Overriding the D8 Core Templates.

6. CSS directory: compile your css using a smacss approach.

7. Images/ Javascript

8. Conclusion and questions.
