Drupal for the Masses - Building a Sustainable Distribution for Technical and Non-Technical Folks

Yale University had quite the dilemma. There are thousands of web sites across the university, but with limited resources to built and maintain them. There was a need to create a consistent platform that was secure and technically sound solution, but easy enough for all levels of technical expertise (including none).

This talk is not about how to build a distirbution, rather it's about how to build a distribution that is trainable and can be supported by a small number of staff members. I will talk about how we looked at how we would support the platform FIRST to determine what modules, features and functionaltiy were offered with our YaleSites web publishing tool (http://yalesites.yale.edu).
